How to Create a Printable Sphere Pattern

Find yourself needing a customized sphere pattern? You’ve come to the right place. Whether you need a sphere sewing template or a printable pattern for foamsmithing, I’ll take you through the steps you’ll need to create the exact size and template shape you’re looking for. Let’s go!
First off, you’ll want to have a ruler, compass, pencil, scissor, and paper handy.
Define circumference (x) and number of segments (n).
Height (h) equals x/2
Using a compass with needle at A, spread to point B, and draw a circle.
Draw another circle with the same radius with B as the center.
Draw a line to meet the horizontal line from C through D to create intersection E.
Using a compass with needle at E, spread to point B, and draw a circle.
Draw another circle with the same radius with F as the center to create intersection point G.
Draw another circle with the same radius with G as the center.
Theses two arcs in the center of the segment make up your pattern.
You’ve made your pattern! Simply add allowance and cut as needed.
