Skull Kid (Majora’s Mask)

Out of all the games in the Zelda franchise, Majora’s Mask (with its dark tones, attention to detail, and unique game play) is probably one of my favorites. For a long time I wanted to bring Skull Kid, consumed by Majora’s Mask, to life. I decide to work on him for both Halloween and an end of the year convention.
The mask and hat were probably the two most labor intensive parts. After creating the mask and hat, it was by happy circumstance that I figured out a way to keep the two in place.
Wearing this cosplay was pretty simple as the cloth parts are all light. Perhaps the hardest part was not trying to scare people walking around the tight spaces in the exhibition hall—it’s hard to not be creepy with Majora’s eerie glare.
All in all, I’m quite happy with how my Skull Kid cosplay turned out.
