Pokemon Fisherman (Pokemon TCG: HeartGold SoulSilver)
About
Having grown up with camping and fishing, I knew I wanted to create the trainer, Pokemon Fisherman. Because I felt like I had seen a lot of fisherman cosplays at conventions from the video game, I wanted to create something more unique.
It was then that I remembered the cute art from the trading card game with Wooper in the background.
My Pokemon Fisherman cosplay is modeled after the supporter “Fisherman” from HeartGold SoulSilver.
Here’s a photo of the outfit with a Magikarp that I just caught, and one of my friends being weird xD
Creation Notes
I created the vest from scratch with black and orange fabric (that matched the trucker hat I got). The buttons were made with baked FIMO clay. They were later attached to the vest with E6000 glue.
I also created a working fishing pole, before deciding that it probably wasn’t the best idea to bring to a convention.
Because the art doesn’t show what pants he’s wearing, I just imagined that he would wear khakis.
